See New Zealand's marine life up close in a Clearyak, a 100% clear kayak. The vision beneath you is amazingly clear and detailed: you are likely to view fish such as snapper, parore, red moki, blue maomao, eagle ray and stingray. 


Perfect for children and anyone who doesn't want to get wet/cold, "it is a great way to see what's under the water without getting in." 


  • Meet down at the beach at Goat Island Marine Reserve for check-in
  • Meet your hosts who will provide a full safety briefing, provide you with all safety equipment and show you a visual marine ID guide of what you might see.
  • You and your partner will be fully assisted into your double kayak - think conciege kayaking!
  • Slowly paddle the marine reserve to take in all the marine life beneath you (maximum 100 metres from shore, no need to go far) 
  • Once you have enjoyed your half hour experience, return to shore and we will assist you out of your kayak. 
  • Then you are free to enjoy everything else at Goat Island Marine Reserve.
